FAQs
What is a fertility coach?
A fertility coach provides guidance, support, and education to individuals or couples trying to conceive or facing fertility challenges. Typically, the services a fertility coach might provide include: Education, Emotional Support, Guidance on lifestyle choices, Support Through Medical Treatments, Advocacy and referrals, Mind-body techniques, Resource provision, Assistance with Decision-making and boundary setting, Ethical and moral support and access to support groups. It’s important to note that a fertility coach does not replace medical professionals. They don’t diagnose conditions or prescribe treatments. Instead, they work alongside medical professionals, providing a different kind of support
How can coaching help me?
Most people I meet as a coach have already had some bad experiences or are feeling overwhelmed by the treatment. That’s why it’s never too early (or too late) to start working with a coach. Coaches can help you physically and mentally prepare before treatment and help you decide on the right clinic for you. Once in treatment or after unsuccessful treatment a coach can help you navigate the journey and help with decisions about next steps.
Will you need to speak with my clinic or Doctor?
No. This Fertility Coaching is independent and confidential. It is a safe space for you to raise any concerns or ask the questions that perhaps you don’t feel comfortable asking your clinical team.
Will any consultations be in person?
For your convenience, all consultations will be confidential and conducted using an online video conferencing platform (Teams, Zoom or similar).
Are you the right fertility coach for me?
I’ve got a lot of experience and a no-nonsense approach. But – I’ll be straight with you. Depending on your specific needs, another coach may be a better fit for you. That’s part of what the introductory call is about. You shouldn’t have to work with someone you don’t connect with.
How much will it cost?
I like to be very transparent about my pricing and what you get for that. My prices are listed on the service page. The truth in life is you get what you pay for. Consultations in IVF clinics typically cost between £150 and 250 per hour. My aim is to get you where you need and want to be quickly and maybe even save you money along the way.
Will you need to see all of my medical history?
The aim of fertility coaching is not to second guess the clinical team treating you or to provide clinical advice. However, it’s useful for you to have access to your history so you can provide a short summary. That way we can identify the things that you want to focus on.
Do you help clients from overseas or wanting treatment overseas?
Yes, IVF is basically the same everywhere. While the local regulations, laws and prices may be different, the principles and challenges that you will face are likely to be very similar. I’ve worked in and with clinics in a number of countries. I also have an extensive network of professional contacts to consult if needed. I am fully prepared to get you the right help even if I don’t have an immediate answer.
